AIR CONDTIONNG PROBLEM:

"My central air system doesn't seem to be cooling my house down as much as I would like. What should I do?"

2A

AIR CONDITIONING ANSWER:

It is possible that you may have a pinhole leak somewhere along the coolant line. You will need to check both your inside and outside units for: ice building up on the coil inside the plenum on the furnace or on the outside unit where the condensing system is. If there is a leak inside your house, you may notice you have recently started getting headaches or migraines and feeling sick - this is when you need to IMMEDIATLY call an HVAC technician to fix the line inside your home. Freon is not enviromentally friendly and is danger for your health.

HEATING PROBLEM:

"My furnace won't come on, and my house is very cold."

3A

HEATING ANSWER:

If your furnace system operates with a pilot light, your problem may be that it has went out. In order for your furnace to work and heat your home, you will need to light it again. In order to have your pilot light relit, you will have to first open your front cover on the furnace where you will see a gas valve that reads PILOT, ON, or OFF. You will now need to switch the gas valve from ON to OFF, then from OFF to PILOT and push down. While pushing down on PILOT, take a BBQ lighter or a sparking lighter and light the PILOT at the thermocouple. Make sure that you continue to hold down on PILOT while lighting it and to continue holding it for another 10 - 20 seconds afterwards. Your pilot should now be lit again and your furnace should work.
